Luxury Items

Following my previous post about the Shoe Society, every girl has one thing that they are passionate about. One thing they can simply not go without.

In my case, I'd say I'm crazy about shoes. [Which reminds me... Note-to-self: Put up a gallery of my babies soon!] Although I've only begun to be less frugal with my expenses, I have yet to spend too much (not in the 3-digit area) for a single pair.

So far, my footwear consumption has not been painful for my bank account, also I've never spent more than $100 for a handbag. But I don't own any luxury items - babies that I would cherish and only show off on special occasions. When I get right down to it, I don't even have precious jewelry! This realization is almost horrific!

My only saving grace is that I'm still stylish, in spite the lack of expensive things.

Here's what I have been told more than once in the past week:

A girl should have at least one expensive pair of shoes/handbag/sunglasses/necklace.

As my designer-handbag-collecting cousin said, all I need it to cut back on 20 pieces of costume jewelry and I can afford one bling. Makes sense.

How will my shopaholic side react to this? Can I really stop spending for the next 10 weeks to finally plunk down a lump sum for the object of my desire?

And so, I went shopping.... At Holt Renfrew and Ogilvy.

And here are the Note-Worthy items that increased my heart rate:

Marc by Marc Jacob Totally Turnlock Satchel
(The pic really doesn't do it justice. This bag is breathtaking in reality! Chic and very trendy.)

Coach Patent Sabrina
(I didn't get a chance to see the whole Coach collection but I really liked this one.)

In conclusion, I haven't truly decided to acquire anything that requires budgeting yet. All I know is that this is not the first time I dream about an expensive bag.

What about you? Do you have a precious "baby"?
